A lightweight program, the ‘Agent’ sits on devices on a network and checks user activity against a library of keywords, phrases and terms. Once an undesired activity is identified by matching against the library a screen shot is taken and an alert sent to designated safeguarding staff.
The Vault is a highly secure environment where word and phrase matches and associated screen shots are automatically stored in an encrypted format. Details of date and time; user; name of computer and other relevant evidential information are also stored along with the screen capture itself.
securus has a proprietary Library of keywords and phrases (known as Terms). Terms in the securus Library are compiled by professionals from within the online safety, safeguarding and law enforcement sectors as well as from feedback from our many thousands of existing customers. The Library is reviewed monthly to ensure that it is always up to date with the latest trends and risks.
The Library is split into several different tagged categories. Tags cover different areas of concern and allow administrators to group violations in effective bundles. Categories include such areas as:
For terms that are not included within the securus base library, Custom libraries can be added. These libraries may contain terms, slang, local dialect or specific threats relevant to each establishments specific environment and need to be uploaded in CSV file format.
As part of packaging and delivery we will specify the server address which will require a firewall inbound, outbound exclusion rule. Java 8 and greater must be installed to computers used for capture administration. The latest is recommended and is available here
