There are a number of Awareness Days that are being held throughout the year that are relevant to schools and colleges – getting involved in campaigns and raising awareness for students struggling with their health & wellbeing.
These awareness days are key to providing students with help, guidance and resources around many safeguarding topics of concern.

Safer Internet Day 2025 will take place on the 11th of February.
The theme for Safer Internet Day 2025 focuses on the issues of scams and sextortion in the digital world that children and young people now face through technology, how to protect them and what support is available.
Sexual Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness Week is an annual event that aims to raise awareness about the issues of sexual abuse and sexual violence, provide support to survivors, and encourage a broader dialogue on preventing these forms of harm.
The theme for 2025 is focus is Know Yourself, Grow Yourself, with the aim to equip and empower children and young people across the UK to embrace self-awareness and explore what it means to them.
Eating Disorders Awareness Week is a vital opportunity to raise awareness of eating disorders. Previous weeks have covered eating disorders in Men, ARFID, Binge Eating Disorder, the need for more time to be spent training medical students on eating disorders and much more.
Self-Injury Awareness Day is on the 1st of March every year, as it has been for for well over twenty years. SIAD is an international event that is recognised across the globe.

Mental Health Awareness Week is an annual event where the whole of the UK comes together to focus on achieving good mental health. The week aims to tackle stigma and provide people with the information and tools to understand and prioritise their own mental health.

Samaritans Awareness Day runs on this day to promote that the Samaritans are here to listen 24/7 – running awareness-raising campaign Talk to Us.
World Suicide Prevention Day is observed on September 10 each year to promote worldwide action to prevent suicides. Various events and activities are held during this occasion to raise awareness that suicide is a major preventable cause of premature death.

In 2025, Anti Bullying Week it is set to take place from November 13th to November 17th, providing a dedicated time for schools and communities to focus on anti-bullying efforts.
